Even Harming Our Children: Yale Study Finds Opioid Poisoning in Toddlers Has Doubled

A recent study conducted by Yale University physicians and published in JAMA Pediatrics found that the hospitalizations of youth related to opioid medications have increased over the years and continues to climb.

One of the most shocking statistics illuminated by the study was the 205 percent increase in opioid hospitalizations between 1997 and 2012 among children ages 1-4 years old. The opioid epidemic is affecting everyone, not even our children are exempt from the ramifications of this crisis.
