Steve Rummler Day at Target Field 2017
June 14 marked our sixth annual Steve Rummler Day at Target Field and the unveiling of our rebrand; a new name, logo, and website. Formerly a Foundation, now, a Network of change makers. Supporters of the Steve Rummler Hope Network packed into the Budweiser Roof Deck at the Minnesota Twins baseball stadium. The event began with live music, greeting friends and family, and meeting others. New and old supporters of the Network mingled against a gleaming Minneapolis skyline. It was a beautiful summer day; perfect for enjoying a baseball game.
The Steve Rummler Hope Network took over the field as special guests and sponsors of Steve Rummler Day stood on the field. Twin’s announcer and friend of Steve’s, Adam Abrams, spoke about the countless opioid overdose deaths in our country and the tireless work of the Network. Adam’s announcement was met with a powerful message from Sen. Amy Klobuchar as she broadcasted a special thank you to the Network and informed of her work in the United State’s Senate, captivating hundreds of Minnesotans in the stadium.
Special guests on the field included founders of the Steve Rummler Hope Network, Bill and Judy Rummler, Chairman of the Board Kim Bemis, Vice Chair of the Board Janie Colford, Executive Director Lexi Reed Holtum, Sen. Chris Eaton, and board member and medical advisor Dr. Pete Stiles. Kent Barnes of our Gold sponsor, Valhalla Place, through out the first pitch.
A hard played game against the Seattle Mariners, a silent auction and good food ended the day as another successful Steve Rummler Day at Target Field. We hope to see all of you next time!
