Hennepin County Sheriff’s Booth – MN State Fair 2015

September 28, 2015 By: SRHN

On September 7, 2015, Randy Anderson and Emma Tofte volunteered at the Hennepin County Sheriff’s booth at the Minnesota State Fair. The focus of the booth was to educate people on storing their medications safely and disposing of their unused medications properly at Medicine Disposal stations in Hennepin County and throughout the entire state. The volunteers explained the importance of storing your medications properly so that people in your home will not get their hands on them because these medications can often be addicting as well as gateway drugs to heroin use. Randy and Emma are holding the stop sign fans that say, stop heroin use and medication abuse! Click here for more information on where you can properly dispose of your unused medications.

Also at the fair, Vice President Lexi Reed Holtum was interviewed at the booth about opioid abuse. Click here to watch the interview with Lexi.
