Heroin and Prescription Painkillers: A Forum for Community Action

This FREE event will help schools, healthcare, behavioral health providers, law enforcement, youth serving organizations, parents, community leaders and organizations:

·        Learn about the history, current use and impact of heroin and prescription painkillers on our community

·        Identify resources for opioid use prevention, intervention and referral to treatment

·        Develop a community based action plan for addressing the opioid epidemic

·        Determine effective use of the Heroin and Prescription Painkillers: Toolkit for Community Action as part of the community based action plans

·        Work with others in Washington County to address the needs through mobilizing community efforts

·        Establish groundwork for a local media campaign
