Summer Naloxone Training Sessions!
Join Us on Zoom!
The Steve Rummler HOPE Network will be hosting virtual naloxone trainings, open to the public, every Tuesday and Thursday until August 19th! These free trainings last about an hour, and participants will be eligible to receive a naloxone kit either by mail (in MN) or pickup at one of our Naloxone Access Points.
During this training you will learn:
- How to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose
- What naloxone/Narcan is
- How it works when administered to an individual who has overdosed
- When to give naloxone to a person who has overdosed
- Upon completion, you will have the opportunity to receive an overdose prevention kit
- THIS IS NOT A CPR CLASS

About the Trainer

Kelsey Tatarek is joining the Steve Rummler HOPE Network as our 2021 AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate! She brings a passion for education and community service, as well as a background in bilingual services and immersion programming. During her term of service, Kelsey is assisting our Overdose Prevention Program to host additional community naloxone trainings, and help combat the rising rates of opioid overdose in MN.
