Overdose Awareness Day Candlelight Vigil
We are proud to support our friends at Minnesota Overdose Awareness as they host their annual Overdose Awareness Day Candlelight Vigil. The event is in observance of International Overdose Awareness Day, August 31st, and will be hosted at the Loring Park Bandstand in Minneapolis. The program begins at 7 PM and will include:
- Speakers from across Minnesota impacted by the overdose crisis
- Musical and Spoken Word presentations
- Canvas and paints for communal artwork
- Overdose Reversal Training and Naloxone Kits for attendees
- Screening of the 2022 Memorial Tribute
If you are interested in honoring a loved one in the memorial tribute video, send a photo, name, and life-dates to tributes@mnodaware.org. Submissions open through August 28th.
The event will be a time to come together in community to heal, memorialize, and support one another. Everyone is invited to join, mingling begins at 6 PM.
