Our Overdose Prevention Manager, Maddy Reagan, appeared on KSTP on October 11th, 2022 to talk about the importance of naloxone training and community naloxone availability.

The segment also highlighted our Naloxone Access Point (NAP) program, showcasing our partner sites as places where people can pick up a naloxone kit for free.

“We’re seeing the most overdoses that have ever happened,” Maddy said. “We truly do believe that all members of the community should both be trained on how to administer Naloxone, and also be carrying Naloxone.”

Director of The White House’s National Drug Control Policy, Dr. Rahul Gupta, was also highlighted in the story. “We want to make sure we are saving as many lives as possible,” Dr. Gupta said, “If we had enough Naloxone available, we could save tens of thousands of lives, right now.”
