Introducing Marissa!

July 21, 2021 By: SRHN

We are excited to introduce the newest member of our team, Marissa Wolff! Marissa is a recent graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. She graduated with a B.A. in Economics & Political Science and is joining our team as an Americorps VISTA member. The VISTA program is a federal program in which members “fight against poverty by helping local organizations expand their capacity to make change.” During her service, Marissa will primarily be working with Alicia & Molly to help with communications and media management. You have likely already seen a blog post from her!

Prior to SRHN, Marissa interned with other local non-profits in the Twin Cities and in the US House of Representatives. She is passionate about fighting for social justice and helping others. After finishing college in November, Marissa knew she wanted to continue working at a local level to empower communities and individuals. She is excited to work with SRHN to expand her interests in public health and creative capabilities. Working on a small and uplifting team is important to her, so she knew SRHN would be a great fit. Marissa is most excited to help with raising awareness for the Healing Together campaign.

In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her partner and their two dogs, Luna and Mako. She also coaches with the Foxjets Swim Team in Eden Prairie. Marissa can’t wait to meet more volunteers and get closer with the SRHN family. Her service term started in April 2021 and will go through April 2022.
