Narcan and the fight to save lives

SRHN’s Director of Education, Alicia Haugh, was featured in a recent article published by The Minnesota Daily on October 8th. The article highlighted the importance of accessible naloxone, drawing attention to the increasing dangers of fentanyl and other synthetic opioids.

Alicia specifically spoke on the importance of stigma reduction, mentioning, ‘We can create a safe community for everybody; the more we can sort of break down those barriers to understanding and awareness.’ She made sure to connect this to the importance of naloxone for keeping people alive until they can obtain treatment or other resources.
